  2. hey great setup , i do have a stupid question though , the ac out cable
from the sunny boy does it go into the sunny island? or to the main house
panel , how does that work out to connect the grid tie to both the sunny
island and the main loads in the house? Thanks

  3. Do you have fuse protection in your battery box? for the inverters?

  4. Yes, you are correct, my representation is at 12V, and while it is a 48V
system, I should have given a kWh or 48V Ah capacity. Thank you for the
    comment.

  5. @howzerman1: thank you for the comment, systems of this type range from $6
    to $9 per watt.

  6. Looks like an excellent installation! I’ve used the Sunny Island before and
it truely is top of the line! I would like to say your description of the
battery capacity was a little misleading. The SI operates at 48volts so you
must have either 2 strings or 3 strings of the 225AH batteries. That would
mean the system is 450Ah or at best 675Ah. An easier way to describe it
    would be 450Ah at 48V or 21.6kwh of battery capacity. ( 450 * 48=21600)
Still a very good capacity for a for a home.
