** These concave mirrors concentrate the light (and heat) from the sun towards the tube at the center. The tube is filled with a synthetic oil heat transfer, heated by the light of the mirror to about 750 F (400 C). This heated oil is pumped from the solar field to a block of power close, where it is converted to heat the oil to high pressure steam in a series of heat exchangers. This steam drives a steam turbine conventional, creating electricity.
