passive solar glazing -Passive Solar House- Google Sketchup 7

March 2, 2012 – 3:25 am

** This is a house made of Google SketchUp 7 (and a bit ‘of 8), for a subject of scholarly research. Its designed for the Adelaide Hills. The design is fairly detailed and one of the best I’ve done. Even if the exporter Video for SketchUp is pretty rubbish, and for some reason the film is really jerky. I hope you enjoy it. If you like this video, subscribe. There are heaps more vids to come: D. The house was designed with passive solar principles, and allows for ventilation. It ’s technically a home for sustainable living, as that was the purpose of my research project. 2. @noxure Yeah, i thought about adding the rail, I didnt end up putting it in because my deadline was up.
The windows should allow stack-effect ventilation from the lower, cooler sections, venting the hot air from the house after a hot day.

  3. Nice one, I could live there. The windows are an interesting idea, letting fresh air in without instantly freezing to death. :)

Maybe you should add a railing behind the desk in the dining room? I imagine terrible swivel-chair related accidents may happen over there.
