  2. Q?
    Does a reflector realy maters?
Will it increase the heat? Or not that much?

  3. Nice looking oven. So a black inside works better than a reflective inside?
Everybody is wondering about that. I see in the vid that your pops wants to
be part of your successful build. And you let him.
I like that you went the extra mile and made a big reflector. I am in the
process of building my first oven. It gets hot as hell on my balcony! I
    expect good results.

  19. I think your fresnel lens is probably counter productive. It can only
focus the sunlight that hits it. It makes one point of really high
temperature, but it will actually shade the rest of the area. I think you
are losing some heat because of the frame holding the lens is shading part
    of your glass.

  22. Nice one, Uncle Bob!! Love the self leveling cook tray..

  23. Nice oven, camper supply stores sell a plastic fresnel lens that sticks to
the back windows to help with backing up. It sticks to the glass without
adhesive, might solve the extra weight of the door problem.

Can this thing cook in the winter?

Cooking chicken for a long time at a low temperature may not be a good idea
re the bacteria counts that might build up over time?

  37. I agree with claudio castro- love the design- especially the swinging
shelf- want to copy this one- why did you go to a child’s frensel lens
instead of the one from the projector? did it not work? I have one, but
still use it, so don’t want to tear up, but I might look for one in
    salvation army or something…
