  2. I have made a few mods like adding steel in the bottom for that same reason and clouds too. I have been able to get the oven up to 200 with no reflectors. I am looking for a high reflective stainless that I can use but have found nothing yet. I am trying to repurpose rather than buy new. I tried poster board with mylar and that worked well but not very sturdy but more of a temporary set up. With the mylar I got it up to 280. I also need to add a gasket around the glass door. Thanks

  3. Any updates to this? Reflectors? What is your highest temperature? I’m trying to find a high quality solar oven design that can get to over 200 degrees… 300 would be awesome. Your design seems promising. For some reason I normally would be inclined to have created a door in the back instead of the top – a lot of heat escapes when you open that top door (such as when you check on things)…. Something I can permanently mount on a wall.

  8. I didnt have anything in the pot on this run as i just painted the inside and have to burn off all the toxic gasses for about a week or so before food can go in the oven. Thanks

  11. The side reflector’s will help, but what Kenny recommended is really good.
