  2. Eco? Really? 76 tons of concrete for the floor? And where did they dump the
excavated earth, in the beginning? If “Grand Designs” may possibly be
promoting this craziness, it’s just not on. 500 tons? Really? Someone else
commented that they could only watch about 15 minutes of this. I feel sorry
for this couple. It started out as a good idea, but went sadly wrong. We’ve
    all made mistakes.

  3. I’d like to find out more about the reed-bed sewage system? Is there
    anything more about that anywhere?

  5. Not many true Cumbrians left, and the ones that are can’t afford to buy land
the “park” is just a way to keep them away from the rich.

the new wave of home owners don’t even give the time of day to locals

  7. You’d have to be pretty wealthy to build it this way.

  8. I give a shit about environmentally friendly… I mean really! But love the
    house.

  9. I love how they call this thing “eco-friendly” yet they’re tearing the shit
out of trees and bushes and it will cost over 200,000 pounds to complete.

Something tells me they’re hipster ecologists that don’t really know or
give a shit about the environment or green-living.

  10. With those natural ‘caves’, or ‘holes’, I’d be thinking “Great! A natural
root cellar for food storage! Let’s build stairs beneath the main floor!
    Architect around them!”

  15. I guess Woods power cups haven’t made it to Britain yet… I wouldn’t think
about setting IG units (or any glass for that matter) above my head without
    a suction cup!

  17. the house look very pretty. if my country was as green as your country i
would’ve done the same, with a little bit of change. i would’ve made the
front side of the house green house, where i can plant my own food.my
evaluation of the house out of 10 i would give your house 9 out of 10. well
    done.

  18. Note to self, If I ever want to build a home of MY dreams, don’t post vids
of its build to YouTube. These people seem very happy but some comments on
here are angry as if their decisions effect your life.

  19. I’ve already identified 2 problems with this environmental family

  26. Well “AS33″ it is not a matter of being “around to stand a chance.” If one
pays attention to the video you would see they are hinting at this building
as a “future building method” when it is one if the first used 20,000 years
ago. I am glad for the ONE family to be happy, but it is only them and it
was a waste of time to watch. There is nothing complex about these designs,
and it has two attributes. 1.passive solar 2. Green Roof. Those are pretty
low standards, so i think the propaganda if this video was ridiculous.
