  2. Australia has the potential to become south East Asia’s main energy
    provider purely on renewables.
I wouldn’t be supriced if the deniers are in the pockets of American fossil
    buisness lords.
This is geopolitics at its worst;(.

  3. I like the idea of renewable energy, but I don’t know what I’ll do with all
the petrol I buy each week. I can’t just put it in barrels because I’ll run
    out of space eventually :/

  6. I guess we can, theoretically, change to renewables, given the time and
finance and ALL involved being 100% willing…..and that would be good.

However even if we and every other country followed this road…including
the USA, China and India….this will not stop Climate Change. It may
reduce it a little by slowing it down some, but we should also be investing
in the Climate Change consequences that will come regardless.

Also….Neither Tony Abbott (it’s not just him) nor the previous Labour
Government nor the Greens, even if they won Government in their own right
would be able to have any major effect on Climate Change.

Even if we in Australia, turned off every ‘non renewable’, energy producing
piece of equipment tomorrow, would it make even a scintilla of difference.
But I guess we have to start and I believe it is starting regardless of
Government, because it has to. If people can be convinced that it is going
to be affordable then that will be a major start. Maybe this will take all
those people who are fully behind this could pool their funds and develop a
‘Demonstration’ town somewhere?? to show how it works on a small scale
which can be shown that it can work on larger scale!

Most Major Auto Companies are already producing vehicles that are many
times more fuel efficient than just a handful of years ago…and that will
continue. Our biggest challenge is how to power up a Big City and Industry
each day, which requires a massive amount of ….lets’ say ‘Grunt’!

  7. Our government is so ridiculous. Joe Hockey protested against the
government taking away the free university, and Greg Hunt wrote a thesis on
implementing a carbon tax to make the polluters pay. “Shh, forget all about
it, we’ve got an economic CRISIS to fix. CRISIS!”

  9. When I watch your videos I can’t decide if I should be laughing or crying.
Laughing because it’s so hilariously true or crying because it’s so
    horribly true.

  13. Just a further point.

Burning Effigies of Tony Abbott or anybody else four that matter will not
help in winning over the other 50% of the population who will be needed on
side to see this whole change through.

  14. This is fucking dumb. There is no way Joe Hockey felt even kinda bad about
    the budget.

  21. If they’re actually losing money with renewable energy it’s because its so
half assed atm only some states like Tasmania have fully made the switch to
renewable energy. They have been using hydro electric power for over 100
years and I was reading somewhere that Tasmania had one of the first hydro
electric power stations in the southern hemisphere. Why does it seem like
the liberal government has no common sense it is like they are purposely
thinking of ways that will ruin this country like someone is forcing them
to completely ignore their common sense and the ethical/moral parts of
their brain. I will only agree with their whole “renewable energy is not
worth it” if they switch to nuclear and not more coal, gas and oil that
Queensland is full of. Which has also made them the highest state for
carbon emissions since 2007. Yes nuclear waste is not easy to get rid of
but its far more clean then coal and oil and probably more efficient.

  22. I love your videos so much, and while they are hilarious I am always left
with a sad pout of depression. fuck. Well done you :3

  23. I was waiting for this one LOL! I can’t believe Joe Hockey was saying wind
turbines were ‘utterly offensive’ and a ‘blight on the landscape’. What an
idiot. If anything is going to save this country from going backward when
we run out of things to mine, it’s renewable energy sources!!! This whole
government is so backward! Next thing, they’ll be denying global warming,
right after the over-inflated Australian dollar collapses, along with our
    economy.
