  2. Maybe I missed it, but I would add a DC to AC converter that has a 12v plug
to run low power items such as a modem/router. That would allow wifi use
in the home of cell phones, tablets, or laptops. When the power was out
after Hurricane Ike in 2008, we used one of these little converters to run
a fan in the house from the car’s power port.

  4. This is kinder garden. I mean it.
You can build this for under 100 usd. charge controller 30usd 5w+5w solar
panels is 10usd. Solar cost under 1USD per WATT
For those who asking below, No this unit can not power your laptop or TV
cause this unit has too low power and will be depleted in an hour when
connected to the inverter with no load connected.
    Educational OK, use NO.

  5. I really like the setup, but first, any time you charge you cell, tablet or
    computer from a 12volt system,
USB device it is a unregulated voltage, battery voltage can run from 12 to
    14.5 volts,
ask any one that the worst thing you can do is charge your cell from a car
    charger!!!
please do not use a inverter that is not a pure sine inverter to run a
computer or tablet, or even a cell phone!!

  8. This is very very nice but for a person like me who doesn’t know anything
like this, how can i built it ??? I am no good in electricity, i don’t
understand them, i don’t have any knowledge about solar power, but I would
like to have one and learn.

  9. You’re so great! Its rare to find a man of your age with such knowledge! My
favorite memories were helping/watching my dad and grandpa when I was a
young girl. Still love the hardware store better than the mall any day!
    Thanks be to God!

  11. what a smart guy this wranglerguy is…..oh..wait?!?He is taking credit
once again for how “easy” and “quick” and “cheap” an invention (that he
knows NOTHING ABOUT) that is actually very practical, and economical, even
without an emergency use. it would be COMPLETELY DIFFERENT if you could
manage to even SOUND like you MIGHT know what your talking about but
clearly using bigger that normal words for you, and not ALSO how
inconsiderate it is for the other people who ACTUALLY came up with these
inventions. you even go on to say….” if you wanna know more than email
“THEM”…….SO TELL ME WHY THE HELL WE ARE GOING THRU THE MIDDLEMAN WHO
DOESNT KNOW SHIT BUT WANTS TO TAKE CREDIT FOR EVERYTING. especialy ANNOYING
when describing “how the batterys work” are pretty far away from correct.
not to mention how you also like to underestimate the price of these
projects your taking credit for. 100$ wood stove that goes from 150 to a
couple hundred before your even done explaining it! i think its cool that
your going out there and showing the world the necessity for being self
reliant, but where i come from….people who take other peoples ideas, down
play the skill level and amount of know how needed as well as just flat out
make stuff up as your going, it seems like. that is what we call a FRAUD
and pretty bad one at that.

  23. iPads use a 10W charger, which is why the power block you’d normally plug
into the wall is slightly bigger than, say, the iPhone charging block.

You can charge an iPad with less than 10W but it will take a LOT longer
    than normal.

  28. I have one question, why do you only recruit one editor? if i knew that i
would not have gone for this rc, but Shakes deserverd the place, im just
wanna know why dont you guys recruit more editors? I think thats is kinda
stupid to only recruit one editor, from like 100+? editing entrys because
then the odds that an editor would have win the rc is very small. but
congrats to the who won the rc.

  42. If people have a problem about me and RFT recruiting fwelts, The reason we
recruited him, was we thought he was a good fit, He hit decent and
consistent clips, He was also constantly speaking to us through social
media/skype asking for ways to improve, I Told him to try the DSR and many
other things and that is exactly what he did, this showed how-much he
wanted to join, and I just personally thought he deserved it, Don’t get mad
    if you didn’t make it..
