  2. Not really, but I believe Sunpower gets them from an (undisclosed) vendor to make the most efficient solar panel systems to date… about 20% efficiency. I just pasted the link of their website in the video description.
I am looking to get more cells like these because of their quality, but I don’t seem to find the true manufacturer of those cells. If you don’t mind, drop me a line if you find something about them. I will keep you posted too. Thanks :D

  3. I don’t suppose you have any idea of their name or address?

  4. The cells came from an electronics surplus store in Bay Area. According to the clerk at store, the cells were designed for panels that were used in satellites. The cells were rejected for one major thing which is backplane delamination. That’s all I know about them. Thanks :)

  5. I can’t see your cells on ebay! Have you got a direct link to these cells?

  6. Howdy Emmanuel,
LOL! I guess you do get a lot of sun in Nigeria :)
You could get the cells by the the bundle for cheap (see link in video description). If cells come with tabs already on, that’s even better… However, I’m speeding up the montage for part two and hope to upload the video shortly… Sorry, technical and lifecal difficulties encountered while making the last part of the video.

  9. Update: I can’t finish the second part of the video because of heavy overcast. LOL!… there’s no sun in California and I had to postpone the test.
