  3. Hi! Thanks a lot for this helpful video. By the way, I hear lots of people keep on talking about Xobotano Home Energy (search on google), but I’m not sure if it is really good. Have you tried this alternative home energy known as Xobotano Home Energy? I have heard some great things about it.

  11. .5 VOLTS not watts 1:00

By GREENPOWERSCIENCE on Nov 25, 2012

  12. in this video each panel is .5 watts you said. Is .5 average. If so wouldn’t it take 200 panels to produce 100 watts? I am inexperienced and confused. Thank you for the help. I am working to be 100% self reliant and your videos have been helping so much.

  13. Depends on the cell size, about 40 is more accurate. 100 watt incandescent bulbs are the first thing to replace before going solar. LED or CPF. Saves you up to 50% on a solar install.

  14. So would I need a 200 cell panel to power a 100watt light bulb?

  15. thanks alot

By oolesh on Nov 26, 2012

  16. yes, but you’d need a charge controller to make it work without destroying the battery, you can buy them for under $10 on ebay. build the panel with just 36 preferably, no point in having too much voltage from the panels

  21. Hey Dan… Thanks for all the tnow terrific Videos. I’ve learned a lot from you and am currently building my own panels for a DIY system. But… I have a question. Is 22V too much for charging a 12V battery? Because of the size of the glass I have, I need to chose between 14V DC and 22VDC. so… again. Is 22V (Maximum) too much for a 12V Deepcycle?
    Thanks in advance… Douglas
