solar pv installers -Tile Roof Solar Panel Installation Tips

February 29, 2012 – 9:27 am ** This is my first video interview with John Shaw Project Engineer Bella Energy of Louisville Colorado. Anderson Hoke Project Engineer is interviewed in this clip. SolarDave: Installing solar panels on a roof of tiles can be difficult, what is your approach? John Shaw: The easiest way to make photovoltaic roof tiles of a climate that is curved Spanish tiles or flat concrete tiles is to use the building integrated photovoltaic products. Sharp has a product, the energy has an open product, both substantially hang the slats. These silicon cells so that they are not the amorphous thin film, which simply means that they are as efficient as a standard panel from Sharp or Evergreen or what not. Are screwed to the floor of the roof, just like the tiles of cement. They intergrate with the tile cement with a lip, this perticular made by Energy open is a tile 35 watts, 3 replaces cement tiles and is basically the same height of a tile cement and the width of them is the same and it is really the easiest way to do it on a solar tile curve Spanish or concrete roof tile. If you want to do standard tiles, there are a couple ways to do this – the most difficult would be to remove all the tiles ee attach to the beam. But Sharp suggests that the way we do is basically retrofiting then we back out only the cards you need when we need to make our attachments. Anderson Hoke: You can pull one or two or four tiles just where you need to connect. You can extract Video Rating: 3 / 5
