  2. i wouldn’t wash in the water directly in the containers anyway.. heating a coil would be perfect though very slow.

  11. Doesn’t the water evaporate when it gets hot just sitting in the bottles?

  16. That may be so but the bottles act as a thermal shroud around the the pipe keeping the air temp around the pipe higher then the outside temp, heating the pipe more then it would otherwise.

  17. I like your video that shows how to use plastic bottles.
I added your video to my playlist on my channel. My playlist has over 100 videos about reusing plastic bottles like yours and is titled – How to reuse and recycle plastic PET Bottles. Thanks for sharing your video. I think it will encourage many people to start reusing items we normally discard and to be more creative like you.

  18. I’ve been to Brazil; believe me, you don’t need a solar collector to make hot water, just set it anywhere and in about an hour it will be 100 degrees, just like your body temperature.

  20. you could potentially line the roof of your house with solar panels and then place these transparent water bottles over them for hot water.
all you would basically need to survive is somewhat of a clean water source

  22. The water is flowing through the pipes, it’s only in contact with the copper or PVC, not the plastic bottles.

  24. This appears iffy for human contact but, as a solar heater, storing the heated water in a series of barrels described in jcanivan’s video ‘Modular Heat Storage’ – watch?v=n90Y6Qwab_8&list=UUbPJ6w6HUljklsA0SppbuwA&index=17&feature=plcp

  25. Naturally, the drinkable water is stored separately from thar system to avoid plastic poisoning. This is Very resourceful! Genius!
